The Essentials

Venue

The hotel is located within a palm grove, and has a pretty extensive garden. We plan to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and possibly food/party outdoors (weather permitting).

If you’ll be staying at the hotel, it’s important to know that all of the hotel rooms are individual mini chalets. The main building houses the reception, spa, bar, and restaurant.

Getting there

Alicante airport is located a 15 minute taxi ride from Elche city, and our venue is in the city centre. A bus from the airport takes about 40 minutes and costs around €1.55. The bus stop in Elche is a 12 minute walk from the hotel.

Weather

Since it’s an evening wedding, we expect temperatures of about 20-23 degrees with little to no breeze. But May was a very rainy month last year, so if we have to move the party inside, there will plenty of space for that too!

Dress code

For evening weddings in Spain, it’s custom for ladies to wear long dresses and gentlemen to wear darker suits. Also, Spanish ladies rarely wear hats to weddings.

But don’t worry about following tradition, we don’t have any rules. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in!

Food

You can expect typical mediterranean fare during the cocktail hour and banquet, catered by the hotel’s restaurant, Els Capellans.

There will be vegetarian menus and children’s menus available too. If you have any dietary restrictions, do let one of us know.
